Spring 2013 Office Hours
MODIFIED HOURS DURING FINALS WEEK
Wednesday 12:00 - 5:00 PM
Thursday 12:00 - 5:00PM
We had a full room for the Wednesday afternoon talk, "Evolutionary ecology of geographic range limits in monkeyflowers," with approximately 70 people in attendance, 75% graduate students.
Approximately 40 people attended the Thursday afternoon talk entitled "The role of evolution in forecasting species responses to climate change," 80% graduate students. Dr. Angert met individually with students during the day on Wednesday and Thursday. We had two dinner receptions during her visit, one which was open to all faculty and students and one which was open to students and post docs only. Both receptions were very well attended. We were very pleased to see student attendees from other departments at the talks and receptions.
The students in Ecology and Evolution greatly appreciate the support from the GSO, without which we would not be able to continue to sponsor student-invited speakers.
