About:

In accordance with the GSO constitution, the RA Union Liaison Committee serves as a communications bridge between the GSO and the Research Assistants Union. We give short updates during senate meetings and keep the RA Union abreast of GSO activities.

The RA Union consists of about 740 Research Assistants (RAs) at Stony Brook University. We organized in 2008 to give all RAs at Stony Brook a voice with which to improve our situations. We elected an RA Bargaining Committee that is currently negotiating with The Research Foundation for a fair first contract. We want The Research Foundation to pay for our fees, raise all our stipends, improve our vision and dental benefits, provide us with job security, and establish a fair system of grievances. We've made significant progress on these goals, but we still have some fighting to do!

Our office is in Nassau Hall, room 123A.
